SHOT. 2017
An autoportrait taken in the bathroom of a high-speed train racing from Germany to France — like a capsule suspended between two countries, two identities, two versions of myself. By physically tearing this image of myself into pieces, perhaps I wanted to fracture the cold, futuristic atmosphere of the compartment around me, but above all my own reflection in the mirror.
I’ve been shot as a model; here I shot myself with the camera — a symbolic shot at my own ego confronted in a reflection. Narcissism is a fragile mirror: when it cracks, it reveals something raw, more uncertain, but so much more real.

Un autoportrait réalisé dans la salle de bain d’un train à grande vitesse filant de l’Allemagne vers la France — comme une capsule suspendue entre deux pays, deux identités, deux versions de moi-même. En déchirant physiquement cette image de moi en morceaux, j’ai peut-être voulu fracturer l’atmosphère froide et futuriste du compartiment, mais par-dessus tout : mon reflet dans le miroir.
J’ai été shoté en tant que mannequin ; ici, je me suis shoté moi-même avec l’appareil photo — un tir symbolique porté à mon propre ego confronté à son reflet. Le narcissisme est un miroir fragile : lorsqu’il se fissure, il révèle quelque chose de brut, d’incertain, mais infiniment plus vrai.
